Thank you for visiting my website! I hope that we will be working together in the future! If you have any questions, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask. That’s what I’m here for!
A little about me.. hmmm…let’s start at the beginning of my real estate career.
Back in 1995, I was 19, I interviewed with a vacations property management company, Door County Realty in Northern Wisconsin. I got the position, but unfortunately it was a seasonal position. BUT, after the season was over, one of the co-owners of the company, Connie Erickson, asked me if I’d like to stay and be her assistant. I had NO IDEA how huge of an opportunity she gave me, nor did I realize how big of a deal she was in real estate. Connie sold about 13 Million Dollars in Sales the year I worked for her. She not only kept me busy, but taught me my work ethic and so much about real estate. Anyway, I’ll speed this up for you, Connie is who sparked my passion for real estate and marketing.
Of course I’ve held other positions since leaving Door County Realty. I helped open another vacation rental company. I’ve been a waitress. I’ve gone to school for business, marketing, and computers. I’ve had both my WI real estate license and insurance license. I’ve done a lot of stuff, but it’s always been in sales and marketing and somehow I always get my computers in there (my other passion!)
After 10 years of being here in North Carolina and being an Office Manager at 2 different real estate companies, I finally decided in early 2015 to take the plunge and become a commission based agent. (I had always been paid a salary in the past! There’s a big difference in stability and comfort level between the 2 that’s for sure.)
I decided to join Century 21 Patriot here in Fayetteville (which later became Century 21 Liberty, then Century 21 The Realty Group). I have known the agent that was opening the company for quite a few years, so I knew he was the type of Owner I wanted to work with.
In the beginning, it was scary. Imagine not knowing if you’ll have a check or not next week when you have a daughter that is just getting her license and soon headed to college. It was a rocky road. I knew I wanted this to work, real estate and marketing is my passion. I worked, ALOT. I’d get up at 6 am and normally go to sleep about 2 am. My daughter and I lived on Mac ‘n cheese and Ramen Noodles for months and I never knew if I’d be able to make my mortgage payment.
Then something happened, I wasn’t hunting for business anymore! I had business now, but of course, you always have to be looking for new clients. Honestly in 2015, I’m not sure how many deals I did. I would guess around 50. Century 21 Patriot was a new company, so we had our first quarterly awards ceremony and I couldn’t believe it, I won the award for Top Sales Volume! In 2015, I won the Top Sales Volume every quarter.
Then 2016 came, and as always, I continued to work diligently. I shouldn’t even say work because it’s not work if you love doing it! In October, I was awarded the Readers Choice Award for favorite real estate Agent from the Fayetteville Observer. That was an awesome day. In 2016, I continued to receive the Top Sales Volume Award and also won the coveted Century 21 Centurion award. I sold 96 homes in 2016! That blew me away.
I guess I tell you this because this has been my dream. I put it on hold to raise my daughter. It was what was right at the time. Dreams do come true with hard work and perseverance . I promise to always work hard for you too, should you decide to work with me!
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better.
Very Respectfully,
Mitzie Newman
UPDATE: In January, 2026, I opened my own company, HomeMatch, LLC, which has always been my ultimate dream!
